These Terms apply to all visitors and users of Career Hound, including users of free and paid features. By accessing, using, or buying Career Hound, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Career Hound.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Career Hound or buy a plan.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in links and account access secure. Tell us promptly if you believe that someone used your account without permission.
An account and its paid access are for one person. You may not share, sell, transfer, or resell them.
Career Hound offers weekly, monthly, and lifetime plans. The checkout page shows the total price, currency, billing period, and applicable taxes before you pay.
Weekly and monthly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel through your account before the next renewal. After cancellation, paid access continues until the end of the current paid period.
We will give at least 30 days' notice before a subscription price increase applies to a later renewal.
Lifetime access is a one-time purchase. It gives you access for the operating life of Career Hound. It does not mean your life or promise that Career Hound will operate forever.
You can request a full refund of your first Career Hound payment by emailing [email protected] within seven calendar days after the charge. You do not need to give a reason. Your paid access ends when we issue the refund.
This voluntary refund applies only to your first Career Hound payment. Renewal charges and later payments are not refundable, except where applicable law requires a refund.
Career Hound finds job listings from company websites and links you to external sites. We are not the employer, an employment agency, or a representative of the companies in the listings. A listing does not mean that we endorse or have a relationship with the employer.
Job information can be inaccurate, incomplete, changed, or out of date. You must verify a listing and its requirements with the employer before you rely on it or apply. We do not guarantee a job listing, interview, offer, employment result, or response.
External sites and services, including employer sites, Stripe, and RezPass, have their own terms and policies. A RezPass promotion code is a separate benefit. RezPass access, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are not part of these Terms.
You must not:
Career Hound's software, design, branding, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Career Hound under these Terms. Employers and other third parties keep their rights in job listings and external content.
We may change, suspend, or end any part of Career Hound. We may also suspend or end your access at our discretion, including for a breach of these Terms, abuse, a security risk, or non-payment.
Subject to applicable law, we do not provide a refund when we change or end the service or an account, except for the seven-day refund stated above.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Career Hound is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be accurate, complete, secure, uninterrupted, or free from errors. We exclude all warranties that law permits us to exclude.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profit, data, opportunity, goodwill, or employment results.
Our total liability for direct claims related to Career Hound is limited to the greater of CAD 100 or the amount you paid to Career Hound in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.
These limits do not apply to rights or liabilities that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
The laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Alberta govern these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts in Edmonton, Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes related to these Terms or Career Hound.
This section does not remove a mandatory consumer right or a right to use a local court where applicable law does not permit that right to be removed.
We may change these Terms. We will give at least 14 days' notice of a material change by email or through a clear notice on Career Hound. The notice will state when the change takes effect. If you continue to use Career Hound after that date, you accept the changed Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using Career Hound and cancel any subscription.
These Terms and the policies they link to are the complete agreement about your use of Career Hound. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the other parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or to a successor as part of a sale, merger, or transfer of Career Hound. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written permission.
