Interview Evidence Organiser
Use the interview evidence organiser to arrange your own interview notes into a situation, action and result outline. Review each claim before practice.
Keep the facts in your own words
You decide where each line belongs. The tool does not infer achievements or rewrite your notes. You can also write directly in the outline.
Your interview evidence outline
Choose note lines or write directly below. The outline starts empty.
Evidence to check
- Situation: add the problem, context and your role.
- Action: add what you personally did and why.
- Result: add what happened and what supports that account.
Use evidence you can explain
A useful result can be a measured change, an observed outcome or a lesson you can support with a clear example. Add a number only when you know its source, baseline and time period.
This tool checks whether fields are empty and whether the result contains a digit. Those simple prompts do not verify your story. Keep team results separate from your own contribution, and remove sensitive details before copying or downloading. Reset clears the notes and outline from this page.
Prepare interview answers from your own examples
Use this interview evidence organiser to build an interview preparation outline from a real project or work experience. Arrange the situation, your action and the result in your own words. The tool leaves the outline empty until you add your evidence.
- Choose an example relevant to the job description. Put each useful detail on a separate note line, leaving out names, client information and confidential material.
- Assign exact lines to Situation, Action or Result, or write directly in those fields. In Situation, describe the context, your role and the task you needed to complete.
- Explain what you personally did and what happened. Review the evidence prompts, edit the outline, then copy or download it for interview practice.
For behavioral interview questions, this gives you room to explain the task within the situation and keep your own contribution distinct from a team outcome. Practice saying the answer aloud and be ready for follow-up questions about decisions, challenges and lessons. A specific qualitative result can be useful when you have no reliable metric. The organizer does not generate STAR answers, invent achievements or score interview performance. Add a number only when you can explain its source, baseline and period.
