Editable questions

Paste a description to build five questions.

Find what needs confirming.

Salary, hiring location, reporting, schedule and responsibilities each get a question. Every match keeps an exact excerpt from your text.

A mention starts a question

A keyword match can include a restriction, a denial or an unrelated use of a word. It needs verification. A remote mention does not establish where you can work, and a salary mention does not confirm your offer.

“No matching mention found” means this simple matcher found no topic keyword. Different wording may be missed. It is not proof that the full posting omits the detail. Read the complete description and confirm terms with the employer. Up to three matching excerpts appear for each topic. Edit each suggested question to suit the conversation.

Generate questions to ask about a job description

This job description question generator helps a job seeker prepare for a recruiter or hiring manager conversation. It creates five editable questions covering compensation, hiring location, reporting, working hours and responsibilities. Each topic shows matching excerpts or a missing-match label.

  1. Paste the public job description. Keep private messages and personal information out of the input. The tool processes the text locally in this tab.
  2. Read the suggested interview questions with their exact source excerpts. Check the full posting because a keyword can appear in a restriction, a denial or an unrelated sentence.
  3. Edit each question so it asks for the detail you need. Copy or download the questions and excerpts before your conversation with the employer.

A vague responsibility can become a specific question: which tasks take priority in the first 90 days, and how will success be assessed? A mention of remote work can prompt a question about eligible locations and required office attendance. The generator uses fixed topic rules, without AI analysis of your qualifications or predicted interview answers. It does not verify company culture, benefits or application status. Confirm the answers with the employer and use your own experience when preparing responses.

Choose relevant interview questions for the conversation

Treat the output as a first draft of questions to ask the interviewer. A recruiter may be able to clarify the hiring process or compensation range; a hiring manager may be better placed to explain reporting, priorities and the actual role. Edit the wording and choose the questions that matter to your decision.

This is an interview question generator for questions you ask an employer. It does not generate a list of interview questions an employer will ask you, technical questions for a job title, or questions and answers for a practice interview. For your next interview, prepare your own examples separately and leave time for follow-up questions about the answers you hear.
