No ghost score

Enter a URL to see whether evidence is available in this snapshot.

A missing match means unknown.

A listing's age, absence from this sample or a changed date cannot prove closure or hiring intent.

Synthetic cases for review. These contain no actual employer or URL status.

Each date answers a different question

Source posted
The employer's posting date, when supplied. It can be unknown.
First seen
When Careerhound first recorded the job. Not its original publication date.
Observed in snapshot
When the record was retrieved from the feed. Not a live test of the application.
Confirmed closure
Requires a retained closure event. Actual closure history is not connected here.

Check the employer's official careers page, compare the role and location, and confirm that the application still opens. The ghost jobs guide explains what can and cannot be inferred. This tool does not estimate time to fill or an employer's intent.

Use the job listing checker during your job search

Keep the source of a job posting beside the evidence you have. This job listing checker compares a public employer or ATS URL with the bounded PM preview snapshot available in this build. It gives a dated match or an explicit unknown, plus checks you can make yourself.

  1. Copy the public job URL from the employer or hiring platform. Paste the full HTTPS address without private access links or personal details.
  2. Read the snapshot coverage and date labels before interpreting a match. Job listings outside this sample remain unknown. The separate demonstration buttons illustrate evidence states using synthetic examples.
  3. Visit the employer’s official career site yourself. Compare the job title, responsibilities and hiring location, and check whether the application opens. Copy or download the evidence for your own job search notes.

A job board result, an old posting date or a missing record cannot establish that a job opening is closed or a scam. The tool does not contact a recruiter, track your job application or inspect the hiring process. If details differ between job boards and the employer, ask the employer to clarify before sharing information or preparing a role-specific resume.

Find the titles. Follow the source. Check before you apply.
